Terraform is an open-source Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool by HashiCorp. You write declarative HCL (HashiCorp Configuration Language) files describing the desired state of your infrastructure — Azure VMs, VNets, storage accounts — and Terraform figures out how to create, update, or delete resources to match that state.
This is the foundation of modern cloud engineering: instead of clicking through the portal, your infrastructure is versioned, peer-reviewed, and reproducible.
